The Flower Show
The 88th Annual Alpha Club Flower Show will be held at Veterans Memorial Building this year. Ticket prices will be $5.00 presale until June 25, and $7.00 at the door June 26 and 27. Presale tickets will be available March 17 through June 25 at Lompoc Chamber of Commerce and Lompoc Valley Festival Association offices. Or by reserving with Maxine Scanlon, Ticket Chair, at 736-1645. Reserved tickets will be available for pick up Friday only, June 25, 4pm to 10pm at Veterans Memorial Building. Walk in presale tickets will also occur Friday only, June 25 during entry check in hours 4pm to 10pm at Veterans Memorial Building. Please call CoC, LVFA, or Mrs. Scanlon with questions regarding presale ticket times and places. This show began in 1922 as a Dahlia Show which, over the years, evolved into the Lompoc Valley Flower Festival. A judged event, the Flower Show is considered one of the highest ranked flower shows in California. It follows the yearly festival theme and features an estimated 200 amateur flower arrangements, including a childrens section, commercial flower displays, demonstrations, and over 500 specimen varieties.
